This policy describes the features currently available at Better Sweet Drinks (https://bettersweetdrinks.com).

My Bar and saved recipes on your device

You can use My Bar without an account. Ingredients, shopping items and their checked state, saved recipes and interface preferences are stored in your browser. Clearing this site's browser data removes the local copy. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to see it.

Optional device sync

If you choose Sync across devices, Supabase processes your email address for sign-in and stores your synced ingredients, shopping list, shopping-list check state and saved recipe addresses. Authentication uses browser storage to keep you signed in.

Signing out stops account use on that device but does not erase the local My Bar copy or delete your account. Synced data remains associated with the account until it is removed. Learn about the provider at Supabase Privacy Policy.

Ratings and comments

A comment submission contains the name and comment text you enter. Approved comments display that name and text publicly. Comments are reviewed before publication. Do not include your email address or other private information in a public comment.

Ratings and comments are processed by our feedback service on Cloudflare. It receives network information, including an IP address and browser user agent. The feedback application combines these with a salt and stores a hash to recognize repeat ratings and limit repeated comment submissions. It stores ratings, comment text, moderation status and timestamps. The application does not ask for a comment email address or use Gravatar.

Ratings and comments currently have no automatic expiry. Hosting and infrastructure providers may maintain their own operational logs. See Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Contact form

The contact form sends the name, optional email address, topic and message you enter to our feedback service on Cloudflare. Messages are private: only our team reads them, and they are never published. We use your email address only to reply to your message. The service also stores a salted hash of your network and browser information, as described above, to limit repeated submissions.

Messages are deleted automatically after 12 months. To have a message deleted sooner, send a new message through the form asking us to remove it.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 is included on site pages to help us understand visits and use of features such as search, recipe saves and My Bar. The site sends page and interaction events to Google Analytics. Search terms, pantry ingredient names, comment text and names are not sent as custom event details. Analytics may use cookies and process device, browser and interaction information according to Google's settings and policies.

We use Google Consent Mode. Visitors whose browser is set to a European time zone are asked before analytics cookies are set; until they choose Accept analytics, no analytics cookies are stored, and Google receives only cookieless signals without identifiers that it may use for aggregate modelling. Visitors elsewhere have analytics cookies on by default. Advertising storage, advertising data sharing and ad personalisation are always off because the site shows no ads. Anyone can change their choice at any time with Cookie settings in the site footer; choosing Reject also deletes existing Google Analytics cookies for this site. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage.

Hosting and external links

The site uses GitHub Pages for hosting and Cloudflare services for delivery and feedback. These providers process requests needed to deliver and protect the site. External links lead to services with their own privacy policies.

Some links may be affiliate links. A purchase through one may earn us a commission at no additional cost to you. Following an external link can share information such as the referring page with the destination.

Managing your information

You can edit My Bar and saved recipes in the interface. To remove the device's local copy, sign out of sync first and clear this site's browser data. Clearing browser storage alone does not delete a synced account, submitted comments or ratings.

Do not submit private account or data requests through public recipe comments. Use the private form on the Contact page instead.
